FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Resonate Central Dispatch Receives IBM Server Proven Status SUNNYVALE, Calif., July 8, 2002 Resonate Inc. (NASDAQ: RSNT), the leading provider of award winning service level management solutions, today announced that Resonate Central Dispatch has earned IBM ServerProven® status. Resonate Central Dispatch is an intelligent LAN-based software traffic management product that provides high availability and optimal performance for online services, ensuring a positive end-user experience. The IBM ServerProven Program is designed to help enterprises identify solutions that have been validated, optimized and documented to run reliably on IBM servers. Resonate is also announcing that it has expanded its support for the AIX platform to now support AIX 5L. Specifically tuned for Linux applications, AIX 5L provides the industry's premier environment for building and managing both UNIX and Linux applications, providing a substantial advantage over fully-closed, proprietary systems. Enterprises around the world rely on Resonate Central Dispatch software to provide increased performance and reliability for mission-critical online applications. Resonate Central Dispatch allows multiple Internet servers to act as a single, scalable, reliable, and easily managed Internet server system. Resonate Central Dispatch scales linearly and requires no feature trade-offs. Resonate software scales as e-business applications grow, requiring no changes in existing hardware investments. When servers are added to an e-business infrastructure, Resonate Central Dispatch leverages the additional servers' processors for increased performance. With hardware-based traffic management products, responsiveness is degraded or feature functionality is sacrificed as usage and systems grow. "Resonate Central Dispatch on the IBM platform has proven to be a winning match for many of our customers, " said Jennifer Carr, Director of Business Development at Resonate. "We are pleased to receive IBM validation for Resonate Central Dispatch and we continue our commitment to IBM by expanding our support for AIX 5L." Resonate is an IBM Business partner and is an Advanced Member of IBM PartnerWorld. Expanding on its strategic relationship with IBM, Resonate recently announced extended support for the Linux platform with new service level management and traffic management support for Red Hat Linux 7.2. Resonate is delivering the Resonate Command Module for Red Hat Linux. The Resonate Command Module for Red Hat Linux works in conjunction with Resonate Commander Solutions software to deliver a powerful solution that manages the operating system in context with information gathered on end-user performance and other infrastructure components. Resonate is able to monitor statistics from the Red Hat Linux operating system including CPU utilization and memory. If problems are detected, Resonate Commander Solutions can start and stop the operating system or redirect users to unaffected servers, ensuring optimal end-user experience at all times. Resonate also announced Red Hat Linux 7.2 support for Resonate Central Dispatch 4.0. Resonate Central Dispatch traffic management software provides high availability and optimal performance for online services, ensuring a positive end-user experience.
