It started with Bryan Gernert and Andy Hunn, tech entrepreneurs who grew some of the most successful companies in the Washington, D.C. area, including Cybertrust and Digex. The idea for Resonate started when Andy was asked by communications guru, John Brady, and President George W. Bush’s former White House political director, Sara Fagen, to develop a business plan for online advertising focused on people’s values. Realizing the field was wide open, Andy and Bryan launched Resonate in 2008. Resonate’s fundamental mission has not changed—or even wavered—since its founding.

With over 10,000 attributes, describing more than 185 million U.S. consumers, Resonate has helped hundreds of consumer brands, advertising agencies and political and advocacy organizations drive revenue and increase customer lifetime value by tapping into and engaging the Human Element.
